Brings
together student leaders from around the world to explore international
relations, diplomacy and the changing world economy. This program
is designed for foreign students age 16 to 19 and U.S. students
interested in international relations. Participants receive first
preference in admissions to U.S. Colleges and Universities. The
Summit is held at the Georgetown University conference center managed
by Marriott Hotel Group. Two summits are held each year in March
and July.
COLLEGE CREDIT
OPPORTUNITIES: The University
of Virginia, one of the most prestigious institutions of higher
learning in America, offers one credit hour for participation in
Presidential Classroom programs. Many other colleges and universities
in America recognize the academic quality of Presidential Classroom's
programs. They consider this experience in their admission process.
Georgetown University specifically lists Presidential Classroom
on its application.
SRI LANKAN'S EXCELLENCE
With the dawn of the new millennium of year 2000, Sri Lanka participated in the Future World Leaders' Summit as a full delegation in July 2000 with 10 delegates. Since then over 500 outstanding student leaders from Sri Lanka have participated in this summit. Of them, 345 Sri Lankan students have entered US, British and Australian universities for their higher studies.
They will be the new generation of Sri Lankan Future Leaders armed with a global network of influential leaders and a global vision and will take charge of the future of our nation in the next decade.
